1. When I click on the camera most of the time it says it failed to connect so I constantly have to close and reopen the app on my phone to see what is going on outside.If you save your layout on multiple camera view but exit while viewing one camera, you need to set up your layout all over again.

2. After trial and error found the older cables weren't enough for the more powerful night vision on these.Not user friendly.

3. (My download/upload speed is 400mb/sec over fiber)**edit: the next day it seemed resolved and was working normally** I was loving the app, i like the notifications for motion detection.

4. Slow, interrupted multiple times... locked up one time, couldn't get off the screen for about 3 hours.Constantly says No more connections allowed.

5. When I get an alert that motion detection has happened, the playback feature doesn't work.

6. When I move to a new house, I won't be getting this 4k system as the defender I currently have installed here stays here.Works well as far as a camera goes.

7. Dont buy this brand! Very very slow (DAYS) tech support and you can only email them.I like the new updates for viewing but unfortunately still constantly crashing.

8. Support basically told me it was user error, and was zero help.

9. slow to load video screen.

10. However, just overnight it stopped sending me notifications for motion detection.

11. Zero rating for previous requests for assistance.Disappointed. Used to work better and now it keeps shutting down so many times.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Defender 24-7 Issues

1. Fix Defender 24-7 Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Defender 24-7: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Defender 24-7 App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Defender 24-7" » Open Defender 24-7 » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Defender 24-7 » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Defender 24-7 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Defender 24-7 servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Defender 24-7" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Defender 24-7 app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Defender 24-7 might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Defender 24-7. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Defender 24-7 then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Defender 24-7 not working


2. Fix Defender 24-7 Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Defender 24-7 be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Defender 24-7 not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Defender 24-7 may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Please, I don't know this website I'm a mother of 3 which one is still under 5. Unfortunately I had an accident and broke my right knee. All I rely on is SSP to feed my kids and pay bills because I have no recourse to puplic fund. You took money out on 22 of this month and again today as well. I'm in tears as I'm typing this cos we need money to survive. Please, I beg of you kindly cancel whatever it and refund my money. Thank you
