1. I'll likely try the app again after several months and resubscribe if fixed.Since they removed the news features unless you pay, the app is only good for checking my watchlist, but half the time the watchlist doesn't load, so what's the point? They may have fixed some of that reliability recently, but it was broken for months.

2. Galaxy S9 latest security update.This app I'm sure works great if it did work :) I had to delete the all of the memory on the app because whenever I launched it, it would just infinitly load.

3. The who reason I got the app was for the watchlist so I can frequently check prices.The news and watch list features are great but the app is so unreliable.

4. Better off just going to their website if you want the information quick and accurate.When I tried to register, it keeps saying my email address have been used, which isn't.

9. There's also an awesome bug where you watchlist just says error and everything you try to reload it, nothing happens.

10. Whenever I try to open an article I get a report of an error loading data.

11. For days I can't access any content at all despite being successfully authenticated and being able to see lists of articles with pictures.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix MarketWatch Issues

1. Fix MarketWatch Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart MarketWatch: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the MarketWatch App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MarketWatch" » Open MarketWatch » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MarketWatch » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear MarketWatch app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MarketWatch servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MarketWatch" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check MarketWatch app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MarketWatch might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall MarketWatch. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MarketWatch then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MarketWatch not working


2. Fix MarketWatch Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MarketWatch be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MarketWatch not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MarketWatch may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
