Lensa Customer Insights

1. To make a long and frustrating story short, my google play account was billed twice and I was unable to access the pictures either time.

2. Maybe I got lucky, but I'm really happy I did the trial.Over 100 distorted images, wasted money! I signed up for the trial and paid for 200 images.

3. Didn't like the fact that you have to continue to pay each and every time something is renderred... But also, when I actually WAS WILLING to pay, half the time the app couldn't get past the Male/Female part when figuring out what it was going to render.

4. Te only difference is now I can't even download one photo/day even if I paid a year.The first batch I did was the viking option.

5. I paid for the $5.99 package labeled "popular", picking a truly wide variety of shots of myself (sad/mad/smiling/under eye circles) so that it would know how I looked in different conditions.

6. I used the exact same photos for the cosmic art option and they were awful! Every one of them looks like a different person and not a single one looks like me.

7. Purchased the $7.99 option and got all the way after selecting my photos (when it was uploading), it gave me an error saying "error uploading please try again".

8. I got all the styled available, wish I could downgrade to the old version.I paid for unlimited use of the app, but it's still at one download a day & asks me to upgrade.

9. Edit to add: app does not allow you send feedback as developer recommends in their responseI read a lot of critical reviews but decided to give it a shot.

10. It's very defective and frankly I am super disappointed... It worked the first 2 or 3 times, but now, it's not even doing anything...Used it earlier this year and had awesome results.

11. I was looking to have fun with the kids today but looks like I used it all on myself with one upload of my photo.After seeing impressive results from a friend, I wanted to try this myself.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Lensa Issues

1. Fix Lensa Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Lensa: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Lensa App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Lensa" » Open Lensa: photo editor & AI art » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Lensa » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Lensa: photo editor & AI art app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Lensa servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Lensa: photo editor & AI art" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Lensa app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Lensa might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Lensa. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Lensa then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Lensa not working


2. Fix Lensa Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Lensa be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Lensa not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Lensa may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Please refund the yearly subscription of $32.16. I paid 7.99 and then you billed me for the yearly subscription. I need my money back for the yearly. This is fraud to take money that was chosen as monthly and not yearly. The last 4 digits of my card you billed is 2083.

  • I want to make sure I am not charged for this app. I saw everyone using it and clicked on it to see what it was. I did not subscribe but I hear that when it is downloaded, you automatically charge. Do not charge for something I did not agree to.

  • Hi there. Lensa is not working again. It is loading to open it says just wait few minutes but still not opening. Last time it was same problem and i lost my edit pictures. I connected lensa they said we have technical problems and i have to download it again. If it is gonna be the same problem why you don’t notify you customers????? Please tell me what’s going on????   • I have been unable to use my Lensa app for several days now, it just goes round in a loop not opening before finally logging back out. I have rebooted my phone, no joy. Then I deleted the Lensa app off my Iphone 11. I then tried to add it again but can't log in to the app from the App Store. I have sent a complaint on the 14th but had no response.   • I renewed my subscription with y’all this year in March but haven’t been able to use the app since then. Every time I try to open the app it keeps buffering and say AI is getting ready but nothing happens. I’ve had this issue since last year that’s almost 8 months now that I haven’t been able to use the app I paid for lol. If the system is down then I want my refund because I paid it for a year.
