1. Leica FOTOS connects your camera to your smartphone via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
2. Connecting to your camera is now easier than ever before.
3. The app lets you download and share your photos and videos and control your Leica camera.
1. I need the ability to give less than 1 stars to be able to rate this properly..The app is totally useless because the connection to the phone (which requires bot bluetooth AND wifi if you want to transfer pictures) doesn't work.
2. Does this mean that German programmers are less competent? I have had this Leica C lux camera since it first came to US and have never been able to connect to Bluetooth.
3. I did manage to connect it to my phone directly through bluetooth, but the photos go away if you disconnect the camera unless you laboriously manually download each photo individually.
4. Cannot connect just using bluetooth, meaning your phone cannot connect to your wifi network at the same time as the camera.
5. It would be nice if the app temporarily disabled sleep mode on the phone during transfers, and if the camera firmware were also smart enough to recognize that a transfer is occurring and temporarily disable power saving mode during a transfer.
6. The input panel to enter the WiFi password is incredibly difficult to use, and I have never been able to connect to the WiFi because my password has an assortment of numbers, letters, special symbols, etc and I simply haven't been able to get the password inputted correctly.
7. And I'd argue that, given the cost of the cameras, they shouldn't charge for it even then.Coming from a 4 year old iPhone with the Leica Photos app working, at least, this is a severe disappointment, especially now instead of being free software for a $5k, it's another subscriptin.
8. When transferring photos if the camera or phone goes to 'sleep' the transfer is terminated.
9. It works as advertise allowing for file transfer to phone/tablet; however, I do feel the remote-control features are limited when compared to similar apps from other companies such Sony, Fuji, Panasonic and others.
10. Weird synchronization issues, like not being able to take a picture with the app until you have manually taken a picture with the camera first.
11. Please read all the negative reviews and address the issues.Neither FOTOS 1.0 nor 2.0 worked with my older Alcatel Android phone.
