1. Trick is - I I found for me is to sync 1 only - started music ok on Bulb then turned on 2 and 3 no issues knock on wood.This is dumb....I have 3 installed and can only control the first one I connected....It works and it's a nice who ever made was poor and so nice 1st app works for meit lags sometimesDumb because it doesn't want to work I recommend no one should install this appCollecting data.

2. Only the colour worked on "iLink."I got so excited because this was the first of about 50 apps I've tried that even recognized my speaker light bulb... But it refuses to connect.

3. I spent about an hour playing with different settings to try and get it to play music with the lights, and I haven't been able to do that.

4. I originally downloaded "iLink" but only audio seemed to work on the app and not colour.

5. The cheap Chinese manufacturer got rid of the main app years ago and the jank one I was using stopped working after an update.

6. I then downloaded this app and only the colour seems to work.

7. 😭😭😭Could be easier but works with all 3 new bt bulbs , sounds much better than hoped for.

8. I also used a different device but it was the opposite problem.

9. It was really frustrating to use as the instructions were so vague.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix BT Life Issues

1. Fix BT Life Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart BT Life: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the BT Life App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "BT Life" » Open BT Life » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for BT Life » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear BT Life app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from BT Life servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "BT Life" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check BT Life app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, BT Life might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall BT Life. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall BT Life then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing BT Life not working


2. Fix BT Life Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make BT Life be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to BT Life not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, BT Life may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
