Scoutify 2 Customer Insights

1. Really slows down searching if I need to search items by name instead of barcode.I am new to this, but when scanning either not found or the wrong item will show up for the majority of the time.

2. It would be great if the app could launch faster too, but please fix the back button bug.after scanning, theres a bug: the "net" profit underneath the cost/unit doesnt show until i tap on another button like research.

3. Will update rating after barcode is fixed.Great app but still no bugfixes :( Please update as soon as possible! When you tap the back button it closes the app.

4. Horrible new user/account creation experience as the "sign up" button is basically hidden on the bottom right among the weird colors scheme.

5. UninstalledEdit: Thank you for being responsive to feedback :) Barcode scanner works better, and the rest of the app has always been wonderful! Barcode update made the scanner way worse.

6. It scans really quick but probably will stick with Amazon seller for now.It only has sign in option so if you are new you can't enter the app.

7. Once I finally sign up, they want me to link to my Amazon seller account by entering my Amazon credentials which is a big privacy no no.

8. But once you learn how to use this App it is a game changer.Good app but when searching using speech to text on a galaxy S20, it pops up for speech and then closes so it can't input anything said.

9. At least I didn't see a sign up option.Extremely poor designed and confusing.

10. i am on android on a samsung note 5, FIX IT PLEASEJim at Inventory Lab provided the best customer service I've ever had!!! No matter what problems you have with it, it's almost always able to be fixed.

11. Also, suggestion: can we get a profit per square inch readout? Sounds weird, but I do RA sourcing trips and have limited space.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Scoutify 2 Issues

1. Fix Scoutify 2 Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Scoutify 2: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Scoutify 2 App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Scoutify 2" » Open Scoutify 2 » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Scoutify 2 » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Scoutify 2 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Scoutify 2 servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Scoutify 2" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Scoutify 2 app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Scoutify 2 might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Scoutify 2. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Scoutify 2 then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Scoutify 2 not working


2. Fix Scoutify 2 Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Scoutify 2 be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Scoutify 2 not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Scoutify 2 may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I used scoutify 2 to look up for all my items and it worked fine. The scoutify 2 app ia not working. It’ll scan some items but freeze when you try to click on it. Other items it just scans and says “ please wait” and you can’t click to any other tab either. I’m connected to my seller account and have the ROI set. Please advise ASAP!
