InspectIT Customer Insights

1. It's trash.it's a bit clunky, but has all the pieces the picture function is good, but slow the sync function has been hit & miss I use it because I got it free for a year with my home inspection training (AHIT); I'll use it until it expires, but unless it gets better, I'll be exploring other options....when I get the time.I will only say the folks that have given this a thumbs up are either fake reviews or very new inspectors and do not know.

Overall its really good but when you pay $600 for software it should not be this big of a pain to set up again.Been using this app for about 3 years now and noticed a few issues, mainly that it is very slow to load in pictures(estimated 2 minutes to upload a picture) and while you are typing a comment it will randomly back out of it to the homescreen which is quite annoying to go back and have to retype.

3. About 8 months ago an update took away the ability for pictures being taken during the inspection to be saved to the device you're using..thats unacceptable.

4. So to change programs the time needed to learn another program... Not happy with InspectIT, two stars only because it could be good if they wanted to fix the problems.this app would have 5 stars if you were able to transfer all you information across devices.

5. However, the software used to save pictures to your device when adding a photo to the report during the inspection.

6. Support is terrible and when over the years they have someone that does a good job they disappear... There really is no support and they will not fix the problems no matter how many years you let them know about it.

7. I called tech support and they acknowledged a software issue, it still has not been fixed.

8. Otherwise great app and great support.Was decent for several years and has gotten worse with time.

9. Ive spoken to tech support over a dozen times and they refuse to acknowledge the ability to fix the issue.App is easy to use and you can customize it to suit your needs or make your use easier and faster.

10. Now pictures need to be taken several times to save on the software, this can be legitimately dangerous when on roofs needing to retake the same photo five times for the software to save it.

11. I have had this program 6 plus years coming out of the school house and there have always been issues, not small.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix InspectIT Issues

1. Fix InspectIT Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart InspectIT: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the InspectIT App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "InspectIT" » Open InspectIT » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for InspectIT » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear InspectIT app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from InspectIT servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "InspectIT" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check InspectIT app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, InspectIT might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall InspectIT. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall InspectIT then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing InspectIT not working


2. Fix InspectIT Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make InspectIT be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to InspectIT not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, InspectIT may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
