Ministra Player Customer Insights

1. It is really good and I like it but definitely need some stability in terms of operations.Quite solid, except... installed this on a MiBox and it works well except for the fact that it requests server and login credentials every time I exit the app.

2. But one big problem with this app, every time you open the app you need to enter your portal URL and then login and password.

3. I have persisted with the app and in trying to solve the original problem, but only succeeded in identifying more useability flaws, so I have downgraded my star rating.I'm using two android boxes with this player.

4. Every time i start the app i need to enter the user login and password for the portal.

5. After trying three different android boxes and giving all possible permissions, this app does not save the url, login and password.

6. Also, the TV guide with the app shows the programs for GMT, unfortunately my time zone is GMT + 1, so the guide and program info for each channel is one hour behind the program actually playing.

7. You need them.I installed on my Sony Android TV, asked for permission and allowed everything.

8. Installed Ministra Player on a Sony Android Tv.

9. Every time I exit the app on my Tv I have to type in the user log in name and password.

10. Contacted the infomir technical support and a cording to them the problem is from my provider.Couple of problems.

11. If watching for longer time(30 mins - 1 hour), suddenly login screen appearsApp is good for IPTV.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Ministra Player Issues

1. Fix Ministra Player Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Ministra Player: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Ministra Player App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Ministra Player" » Open Ministra Player for Android TV » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Ministra Player » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Ministra Player for Android TV app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Ministra Player servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Ministra Player for Android TV" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Ministra Player app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Ministra Player might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Ministra Player. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Ministra Player then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Ministra Player not working


2. Fix Ministra Player Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Ministra Player be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Ministra Player not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Ministra Player may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I had installed the Ministra Player for Android to test it out. After about 20 days I uninstalled the player. I keep getting charged the monthly fee even though the app was uninstalled. I get a receipt from Google Play Store about the charge. I don't even see the subscription in Google account management so I have no way to cancel the item.   • On 30th August 2022, I installed minstra player app and then i ask my ip tv provider to configure it so that i can use the app on my LG smart tv ,after that i logged into using all the required information and in the next screen it asked me for 3day trial and after 3 days it'll be $16.99 annually.. I chose that by using QR code and provided my card details so that I can start using the service.
    Later I found that it's not useful and I don't want to continue my subscription but I'm not getting an option to unsubscribe as I didn't use any email account while processing the payment rather I used Apple pay. I didn't see any transaction id as its under 3 day free trial.

    Please do let me know how to unsubscribe so that i won't be charged after 3 day trial gets over..below i'm sharing a few details which i found under My account after login into APP.
