6. But then when you give it permission to have location data at all times, it randomly looks up location data in the background even when the app is not running.

8. Two annoyances: the waypoint symbols are balloon shapes that block the view of the track and the arrow isn't pointy enough.

9. TIP: if you don't have cell service, this will still track you but without a satellite background image.

11. The one other issue I found is that if you should loose GPS lock, the phone doesn't alert you so you could be hiking for a while before you realize that it's no longer mapping your path.

1. Fix Geo Tracker Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Geo Tracker: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Geo Tracker App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Geo Tracker" » Open Geo Tracker - GPS tracker » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Geo Tracker » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Geo Tracker - GPS tracker app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Geo Tracker servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Geo Tracker - GPS tracker" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Geo Tracker app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Geo Tracker might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Geo Tracker. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Geo Tracker then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Geo Tracker not working

2. Fix Geo Tracker Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Geo Tracker be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Geo Tracker not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Geo Tracker may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
