1. Opening in browser gets you a broken, not mobile friendly app and downloading the app gets you something that shows the right candidates but doesn't open the interview videos.I haven't been able to use this app in months.

2. Typical problems are the candidate page showing up blank, app freezing and crashing, and being unable to submit candidate evaluations.Works perfectly.

3. Very difficult to conduct interviews.It showed the candidate listing as a blank page.

4. It no longer shows me candidates specific to my reqs anymore, and if I attempt to search for a candidate by name I get "No results found".

5. However, I can go on the desktop site and pull that same candidate up immediately.does not work.

6. Then it crashed and upon restarting showed a blank candidate listing screen again.

7. looking at the reviews this has been going on for months? please tell me that's not true.Every time I have to use the app I need to uninstall and reinstall.

8. Then all the videos from applicants were right there.New update does not work well on Note 20.

9. you have to clear the app cache / storage, force quit and then it will work again for a day if you're lucky before you have wipe again.

10. It is a shame as it used to work well when I was previously recruiting.Garbage that doesn't work.

11. I just had to log in through my employer's portal and using my work credentials.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HireVue Issues

1. Fix HireVue Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HireVue: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HireVue App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HireVue" » Open HireVue for Recruiting » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HireVue » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HireVue for Recruiting app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HireVue servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HireVue for Recruiting" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HireVue app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HireVue might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HireVue. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HireVue then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HireVue not working


2. Fix HireVue Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HireVue be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HireVue not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HireVue may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
