PRX Connect Customer Insights

1. The problem lies in the connection - can't rely on venue or home wifi if it has anything other than an unsecured/WEP/WPA2 network - WPA2 PSK I've never been able to configure.The speakers are great and sound amazing, however this app is another story.

2. JBL - Your speakers are great but PLEASE look at this app and fix the bugs! NOTE: Just to the others who mentioned the speakers don't sound correct after connecting the app, you can reset the EQ to factory defaults by holding the Main/Monitor or Norm/Boost button for 5 seconds.

3. I constantly encounter issues with freezing (Nexus 9) and am unable to find the speakers after they connect to the network (Connection lights stops blinking on speakers).

4. Might try disabling wireless client isolation on the Access Point to see if that allows the app to find the speakers (early chrome casts needed this), however that's not ideal.

5. Some wishlist items: - Ability to change input gain via app (you can see the value change when adjusting the gain knob on the speaker) - An always present signal indicator overlay or status bar; or some ever present indicator of level/peak indicators.

6. I also don't see my router assigning DHCP addresses to the speakers (If they use it), its hard to troubleshoot with the app freezing all the time though and the built in WIFI Diagnostic doesn't seem to do anything.

7. There is also a hard reset you can perform that will additionally reset the network settings, this procedure can be found in the on-line manual from JBL.Tried it , it worked for a minute did not lock on screen and is jumpy on tablet it closes just going near it.

8. ------ Caution : do not yet (06/2020) work on mobile phones... only on tablets !App crash android 10 plusIt is very hard to connect and freezes most of the time.

9. This would be helpful when running the show from the same tablet; instead of switching between my mixing app (Mixstation Pro for X32); an indicator would just show signal and or peak.

10. The speakers do not sound very good at all and are now basically junk.

11. Can't save settings, everytime I open the app it wants me to setup my system.Work perfectly ! Very simple to use.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix PRX Connect Issues

1. Fix PRX Connect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart PRX Connect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the PRX Connect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "PRX Connect" » Open PRX Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for PRX Connect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear PRX Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from PRX Connect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "PRX Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check PRX Connect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, PRX Connect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall PRX Connect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall PRX Connect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing PRX Connect not working


2. Fix PRX Connect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make PRX Connect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to PRX Connect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, PRX Connect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
