1. The viewfinder that the app shows is not nearly accurate to the actual pictures that are taken so it requires a lot of guesswork to make sure I have the proper positioning to get the framing & composition I wantI been using this app for years to share progress of my plants and i look forward to updating my projects.

2. there's no option to view things you've posted, like a feed.I feel lied to! I downloaded the app because there was an add on FB saying that they were giving away free hydrangeas, and to enter to win within the app.

3. there's no way for me to add plants into my projects, it says to click the add icon on any plant card, but there's no icon, so it won't let me make my projects public.

4. Nothing in settings to contact someone about fixing the bug hence the review.Love the app but on my Android I am having issues with capturing photos.

5. the search function only searches things others have posted in your radius so if you live in a relatively unpopulated area you won't have much luck.

6. I did have some technical issues with the app and some communication issues with the growit team but after some bug fixes on their side i updated my app and everything has been fixed.

7. (you have to press like, which opens the picture up, and then you have to tap like again, and then x out of the image to continue browsing) I am kinda confused about the purpose of the location feature.

8. seems to just narrow the feed you see on the app (due to it not being very popular) I really want this app to grow.

9. I also cannot update old plants it gives an error.

10. many plants aren't listed when trying to add your own.

11. I love the idea.This app has great potential but right now is pretty lackluster.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix GrowIt! Issues

1. Fix GrowIt! Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GrowIt!: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GrowIt! App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GrowIt!" » Open GrowIt! » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GrowIt! » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GrowIt! app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GrowIt! servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GrowIt!" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GrowIt! app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GrowIt! might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GrowIt!. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GrowIt! then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GrowIt! not working


2. Fix GrowIt! Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GrowIt! be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GrowIt! not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GrowIt! may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
