1. Very fast to send and get messages, the only things I don't like is the rcs which is unreliable and it doesn't send half the time.

2. Every time I send her a message, it doesn't send and the app tells me to switch the message to SMS/MMS.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Google Messages Issues

1. Fix Google Messages Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Google Messages: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.

2. Fix Google Messages Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Google Messages be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Google Messages not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Google Messages may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
