1. But the data recording doesn't seems accurate with about double the discrepancies of my data with my local telecom records.What has happened to the calls and messages records and the widget? This app had been my favourite until this update lost them.

2. i have been using it for more than 1.5 year and it was allowing me to take control of my used data and my outgoing calls thanks to the widget that make the tracking of usage visible on the home page of the phone...nowdays the valuable widget is not anymore available.

3. Uninstalling for something that includes daily monitoring of minutes, texts and data.Ever since it changed its name from call timer to data usage it's been unreliable and doesn't collect data anymore.

4. A load of functionality removed, no call or sms tracking, widget disappeared, settings removed, ads implemented, stability shot and constant freezes.

5. P.S. Reverted to an older version & working fine now!Terrible update! After latest update, a lot of possibilities disappeared.

7. the widget makes big difference otherwise I give 5 stars.I recently installed this app on my Huawei Y-9Prime, but the call timer doesn't cut off the call that I had programed it to do so.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Data Usage Issues

1. Fix Data Usage Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Data Usage: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Data Usage App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Data Usage" » Open Data Usage - Call Timer » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Data Usage » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Data Usage - Call Timer app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Data Usage servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Data Usage - Call Timer" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Data Usage app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Data Usage might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Data Usage. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Data Usage then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Data Usage not working


2. Fix Data Usage Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Data Usage be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Data Usage not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Data Usage may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
