Metronome Customer Insights

1. Click sounds are also limited; sometimes I find that accent counts begin to sound the same especially when playing in a triple feel time sig.

2. Good for practice but not for playing live.Sound issues... Click volumes seem to go in and out on my pixel.

3. Also the preset rows need a larger height, they are difficult to tap.I upraded to full version b'coz it has d features I want.

4. It's just the volume and the sound issues that are the problemA no-frills, nicely built metronome app with presets support.

5. Automator feature is ok but is only limited to just one change which is not good if your playing a song with multiple parts changing bpms.

6. The elapsed should stop when d counter stops and display the time taken to play the limited (chosen) numbers of bars.

7. Creating set lists is extremely handy, especially when tempos for specific songs change, this feature makes it easy to transition to the new pre-loaded tempo created on the list.

8. I would give it five starts however there is a very annoying bug that makes presets go wild and happens very often in my workflow: start metro, block phone to turn screen off and forget.

9. I don't care about the flashing lights but I do like to see how much time is remaining.Screen flash does not sync with beat.

10. It would be great if I could change the size of the LEDs; even better if the LEDs could flash and fade out with each beat.

11. The ability to add subdivisions, accent specific beats, and turn on/off every few measures is great for a practicing drummer.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Metronome Issues

1. Fix Metronome Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Metronome: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Metronome App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Metronome" » Open Metronome: Tempo Lite » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Metronome » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Metronome: Tempo Lite app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Metronome servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Metronome: Tempo Lite" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Metronome app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Metronome might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Metronome. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Metronome then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Metronome not working


2. Fix Metronome Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Metronome be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Metronome not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Metronome may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
