1. It is not possible to use your USB audio device with other apps! eXtream Software Development has written a custom USB audio driver from scratch because many Android devices do not support USB audio or not in the full quality that our driver offers. No rooting is required.
2. Reasons can be that your Android device does not meet the requirements, it does not supply enough power (try a powered hub), the USB audio device is not class-compliant or you are not using an OTG cable (if needed).
3. Your USB audio device must be class-compliant in order to work: USB 1. 1 and USB 2. 0 class-compliant devices are supported with either USB audio spec 1. 0 or 2. 0.
4. Note that this app also functions as the license/key to use USB audio in Audio Evolution Mobile. • Recording format selection: wav/flac/ogg/aiff. • Very basic playlist (directory playback) functionality because of many user requests.
5. Make sure to connect your audio device BEFORE starting the app.
6. Record and playback audio in high quality from a USB audio interface!
7. If you get a message on start-up saying that the device failed to initialize, your device will not work (for now).
8. Please let us know if your Android/audio device combination works.
9. Warning: this is not a generic driver, you can only playback and record from within this app.
10. Devices that require you to install specific drivers under Windows or OSX will usually not work.
11. No mp3 playback or fancy graphics, the app is meant for recording! • Share your recordings through GMail, SoundCloud, etc.
1. Question: Would it be possible to record from the Android device itself (let's say from Spotify) AND from the audio interface as well? Intended use case: Play track via Spotify and play drums (which is recorded via microphone plugged in into the audio interface).
2. I can't get any input whatsoever into the recorder! I do get an 'initialized' notification, but when I try to record it says 'no input channel.' Is this software only meant to be used with a preamp? I wanted to use my phone as a simple field recorder without taking along any other accessories, which is what I thought I could do with it.
3. Although for $6, I do wish the UX was slicker.I'm using this app to record on the go with a DIY stereo binaural microphone connected to a USB adapter made by Boya (BY-K4, 48kHz 16 bit ADC).
4. The only thing that doesn't work properly is that I can only record the audio as stereo, despite it being a mono microphone.
5. Anyhoo, before you ask, YES, I can record into other audio software with the same setup, so there is definitely some incompatibility of some sort going on here.operation is simple and efficient.
6. The only missing function for me is to be able to record one whole side of a record, and the app knows that the silences defect a new track, so use a new file.
7. Being able to record 8 stereo tracks into an old phone is pretty remarkable.
8. Record in flac, and you can go a few hours before having to stop and restart recording.
9. I really wish that it recorded in mono instead of stereo but realize that might work the Android system harder.
10. Not enough people in the music scene know about this...I typically use this app to record 7 mics at once from my behringer umc interface.
11. This, and Audio Evolution Mobile are hands down the best apps for recording on Android.
