For security reasons Android 12 won't allow the cameras to be running in the background if the screen is turned off and I get that, but I would think the developer might be able to get around that issue by having a button on the video screen that opens a black "page" that has a button on it to get back and only says something like "back camera recording" to make Google happy...Don't trust the "recording in background" feature! Took a crazy drive through a fire-devastaed zone, and later, had a suicidal deer.

2. I use this app every time I drive, especially my commercial vehicle.After a week or so of use, the biggest complaint is that when you go into background mode, the icon that's a big stop button doesn't stop the recording.

3. You can select duration up to 90(although it skips 2, 5, 10, 20 etc) record audio or not, use front or back camera, upload and share, have time stamp, adjust quality, control storage size, record in the background, add GPS or not and more.

1. Restart Drive Recorder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.

   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Drive Recorder" » Open Drive Recorder - Dash Cam App » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Drive Recorder » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Drive Recorder - Dash Cam App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Drive Recorder servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Drive Recorder - Dash Cam App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Drive Recorder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Drive Recorder might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Drive Recorder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Drive Recorder then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Drive Recorder not working

2. Fix Drive Recorder Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Drive Recorder be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Drive Recorder not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Drive Recorder may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
