1. But once connected it's o.k. not great... just o.k.. I'm still wondering can you add more than one dashcam to the same app.. the info doesn't seem to cover this? Annoying that the dashcam don't show speed or location.Useless app!! Doesn't connect without wifiPoor for the hik brand, when recovering footage via wifi or direct from sd card.

2. When you connect before start the car it shows correct date and time, if you check the playback videos it shows 2022, Jan 00.00 hours.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix HikDashcam Issues

1. Fix HikDashcam Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart HikDashcam: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the HikDashcam App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "HikDashcam" » Open HikDashcam » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for HikDashcam » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear HikDashcam app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from HikDashcam servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "HikDashcam" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check HikDashcam app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, HikDashcam might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall HikDashcam. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall HikDashcam then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing HikDashcam not working


2. Fix HikDashcam Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make HikDashcam be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to HikDashcam not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, HikDashcam may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
