1. With a simplified interface, large buttons, and powerful voice actions, Android Auto is designed to make it easier to use apps that you love from your phone while you’re on the road. • Route to your next destination using Google Maps or Waze with real-time GPS navigation and traffic alerts. • Get updates on your route, ETA, and hazards in real-time. • Have the Google Assistant check your calendar for you so you know where you need to be. • Set reminders, get updates on the news, and check last night’s score. • Avoid distractions while driving by setting a custom do not disturb message while driving. • Make calls using Google Assistant and answer incoming calls with just a tap. • Access your contacts folder and send and receive messages with the Google Assistant using SMS, Hangouts, WhatsApp, Skype, Telegram, WeChat, Kik, Google Allo, and many more messaging apps. • Manage your infotainment system like never before.
2. Android Auto is your smart driving companion that helps you stay focused, connected, and entertained with the Google Assistant.
3. Listen to your favorite media apps including Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, Google Play Music, Amazon Music, SiriusXM, TIDAL - High Fidelity Music Streaming, Napster Music, and Deezer.
4. To use Android Auto, you’ll need a phone running Android 6. 0 or higher and an active data connection.
5. Many more music, radio, news, sports news, audiobook, and podcast apps are also supported.
6. Over 400 car models now support Android Auto!
7. To find out if your car display is compatible and how to enable it, check your owner’s manual or contact your car’s manufacturer.
8. The number of compatible apps is always growing!
9. Once enabled, use a high quality USB cable to connect your phone to your car, then launch Android Auto to get going!
1. There also needs to be a much better suite of one-touch or voice controls, because it really isn't safe to be swiping and tapping on your touch screen while driving. This app is awesome! Works like a charm in my Mazda Cx5.
2. I think picking up automatically after reception returns is helpful when you are driving and avoiding distractions.Frequent disconnects while driving.
3. I am able to put Maps on the car screen (which is bigger than my phone and easier to see).
4. I wish I was able to enter in an address through my phone while using Android Auto.
5. It leads to unsafe driving practices because it requires far too much interaction with the screen while you're driving (aka distracted driving).
6. Now I don't even bother to connect my phone because it's useless for navigation since it disconnects continuously.
7. Very convenient to have all my car apps right there and not have to fidget with the phone. The app works alright when it is able to connect from the car.
8. I also don't like that a media player automatically comes up and takes over half the screen, which isn't helpful when using a navigational app.
9. I don't even have an option to stop it from attempting to wirelessly connect as that option was removed a few iterations agoI use this all of the time when I'm going somewhere.
10. Overall, it does the job it needs to and saves me from paying for additional features on the car.It was very helpful to me when I recently traveled out of country.
11. It automatically brings up my music and Google Maps on my car's touch screen.
This app will not let me Uninstall it. I never authorized use of it and want it and all information deleted. I want all my information emailed to me. Thank you
