1. A taxi arriving 20minutes late then refusing to move for 5minutes as their app cannot accept the job to start the meter is one thing... Being told by the office "we aim to get taxis to you as close to the booked time, that even goes for pre-bookings" is another thing entirely, especially when you have spent around £250 in faresThe last app was way more better, easier to use, what happened to it then yous updated it and changed it too this one, that is harder for people with learning disabilities to understand how to use an app thats supposed to be easier to book taxis.
2. Also useless if you're walking, try to check pickup timescale and then need to adjust the pickup location before committing to a booking because you've moved several building numbers away.Very reliable service if booked plenty of time in advance.
3. But I'll always use Hampden cars for trips booked in advance.I hadn't had any issues for my many taxis with this company until today, however the company deserve a 1* review for the way they handled a late taxi from a pre-booking.
4. However, Hampden drivers are excellent and trust worthy people generally, so it is all the more of a pity that this app is not fit for purpose and not to be trusted with your credit card.Awful since the update.
5. Won't allow me to add debit card (which was already registered with Hampden, the update removed the card details) Contacted them by phone and was told it was probably a problem with my bank.
6. Really good app, if you use the company for taxis then well worth a download.This app retains a copy of your credit card.
7. What a pile of shite.Useless. Last few times I've booked nothing turns up within timescale quoted when booking and no indication how much longer to wait.
8. I accepted this because I initially trusted Hampden but there are problems with entering pickup and drop off addresses in the app, it is clumsy and on the three occasions I have used the app, I have had issues.
9. Address search just fails to register if you have to change something, e.g. if the automatic address detection from your GPS gets the wrong building number.
10. Booked a taxi by phone after trying to book with the app.
11. Paid the driver using chip and pin on the card that the app states is invalid.
