1. Some kind of tick box for "current, editorial image"? I had newsworty photos this week but by the time the long pending period is over, too late.Review team, or as they call it EXPERT team is so terrible that you find yourself so disappointed because you wasted so much time and energy to get denied from people or algorythm that has nothing to do with photography! They cancel even photos taken with dslr cam on tripod with a reasons like noise or grain, even though images are so clear, that you can see dust on model! Also money that you get is a misery!!! And these are just a few of reason why to stay away from this site!Never tried uploading any of your pictures in here, becos u will never get paid.

2. Why would you insist that I upload my pictures from the mobile phone? Obviously owning a professional camera and professional gear, I will take photos with that and then do post on my computer (lightroom, photoshop, etc.). The final photos reside on my computer or network.

3. Why do you put us through having to transfer these photos to the mobile before uploading themConvenient to check some statistics, check submissions and upload new creative content from smartphone.

4. I tried downloading the images from Google Drive and clicking on them directly from Google Drive, but it would refresh each time and each time I would have to sign in with my email and country of residence again and again.

5. Both declined.. they dont mention the causes.. many my friends said i better upload photo (photograph) but i never tried it yet.

6. would be nice to be able to upload editorial type content, as that may be more likely from smartphone imagery.

7. I take good care of my phone and am great at tech having been a graphic design major.

8. Make it clearer for new users how to upload multiple images (hold down until image marked then go to next).

9. Wished I could give 0 rating.Getty or iStock obviously want good pictures to be uploaded - especially when it comes to applying to be accepted as a photographer.

10. I looked at the other reviews and noticed other users having the same issue, so it's not my phone even though it's old.

11. Whenever I tried to click on a image from my phone, it would send me back to startup.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Contributor Issues

1. Fix Contributor Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Contributor: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Contributor App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Contributor" » Open Contributor by Getty Images » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Contributor » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Contributor by Getty Images app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Contributor servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Contributor by Getty Images" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Contributor app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Contributor might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Contributor. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Contributor then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Contributor not working


2. Fix Contributor Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Contributor be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Contributor not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Contributor may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
