1. I would recommend looking for an alternative provider, but not because of the app.Update: New version doesn't allow me to log in and won't accept copy/paste from password manager.

2. The real time password tips were nice and the app worked as expected after that.I used to use this app a lot but then whenever I started to login in one day it sent me to the registration page.

3. A long password, 2 special characters (maybe?) 2 lower case, 2 upper case characters, and my fingers not working well on my phone touch screen add up to a lot of frustration.

4. Clearing cache doesn't fix it, so an update is needed.Setting the password was seriously painful.

5. Now I just keep getting a pop up that says the app has been updated and to check the Play store, but no update is available.

6. Also they shut down for maintenance A LOT.There have been some recent improvements to the app that bring it up to 3 stars, most notably working biometric-linked login, and the ability to see and manage investments.

7. It doesn't quite tell you all the rules and you can't see the password, and there is no checkbox to allow me to see the password.

8. Monthly fees if I let my "checking" balance fall below $3000 - most of a year for an unmarried user maxing out paycheck withholding, and worse if you use the HSA to pay for expenses.

9. The provider is shown but when I select and go back yo the last page, it says no provider selected and then locks up.

10. The UI is plain, but mostly functional - if you can ignore loading screens in places you wouldn't expect them and a couple other strange behaviors during navigation.

11. It says it needs updated when I hit the update now button.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix BenefitWallet+ Issues

1. Fix BenefitWallet+ Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart BenefitWallet+: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the BenefitWallet+ App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "BenefitWallet+" » Open BenefitWallet+ » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for BenefitWallet+ » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear BenefitWallet+ app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from BenefitWallet+ servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "BenefitWallet+" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check BenefitWallet+ app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, BenefitWallet+ might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall BenefitWallet+. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall BenefitWallet+ then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing BenefitWallet+ not working


2. Fix BenefitWallet+ Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make BenefitWallet+ be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to BenefitWallet+ not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, BenefitWallet+ may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
