1. What's the point of a security system that can't be seen unless your phone is home or connected to wifi? Additionally, the set up is less than "user friendly," email set up is a joke, and the video log on notifications will only do 24 hour time; even though 12 hour has been selected.Once the application was upgraded to version 1.4.0 I lost connection with one of the 16 DVRs that I have connected.

2. Only the time it was "connected" got shorter eacth time.Little buggy sometimes but it works great!!!! Absolutely love it and has amazing quality on the video.

3. I've put in IP addresses which allow some of them to connect temporarily, but every time the service provider changes the IP address of the router, I have to go in and resetup their software to connect.

4. There's no reverse play.It has high quality video; adjustable zones for motion; and a variety of playback settings.

5. Mostly, I've found it difficult to jump to a certain time stamp especially if you only need to leap either forwards or backwards a few minutes.

6. If this isn't fixed soon this is going to cost me thousands of dollars to replace the dvr's or an enormous amount of work to set up ddns connections for all of the remote systems and set it up on each one of my clients devices.

7. every day, whether i use it or not.As mentioned, the newest update gave me the "closed connect" error and I could not view anything.

8. Also, the other issue about not going back to video review page appears to be fixed.

9. If you needed to turn over footage for any reason, I haven't figured out how to go in the settings and change the storage location.

10. Fix this now!Constantly goes offline and can't view cams.

11. I am still trying to figure out how to save the 7 days of recorded video to a flash drive or something.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix RXCamView Issues

1. Fix RXCamView Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart RXCamView: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the RXCamView App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "RXCamView" » Open RXCamView » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for RXCamView » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear RXCamView app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from RXCamView servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "RXCamView" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check RXCamView app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, RXCamView might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall RXCamView. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall RXCamView then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing RXCamView not working


2. Fix RXCamView Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make RXCamView be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to RXCamView not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, RXCamView may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • For some reason after I switch phone services to AT&T my remote viewing stopped I couldn’t see my cameras unless I was at home on WiFi then I changed Remote settings to the next setting in the drop box and now it want let me view them at all what can I do to fix that I tried deleting the app and downloading it back it still doesn’t work

  • So I have read some of comments below already and most of them have the similar problem to mine. I have hooked up my wired cameras to my TV and they work perfect but now using the app I scan the QR code on the DVR box and I pulled up the QR code on my information for the cameras on my TV but they still don’t work. At first it scanned for the IP/ID address and then it has admin and password. I have put in the user name and password that I used when first setup my cameras on my TV but still doesn’t work. I looked at videos saying that the password is wrong and I even looked at the guide for this app but I am doing the same thing that the guid does and it still does not work. Only thing that it does is connect and then say connect close. Please how do you fix and can you please post a video or a guide on showing this issue more in-depth.

    I have a DVR & BEEN using for over 2 years approximately.   • Sirs, I have had my system working on my iPad and wife’s Samsung, I now have a new iPhone 13 and iPad 12.5 but can’t get the cameras down loaded onto these new devices. I have followed the instructions for both and all I ever get is connect close. I have tried with the password and without but nothing works?
