1. By selecting your camera, an aspect ratio and a list of lenses, Artemis allows you to compose shots with the same field of view as the camera/lenses you will be shooting with.
2. If your camera format or desired lens set isn't included or you believe a camera format isn't working for you, we include a custom camera feature that allows you to configure Artemis to any camera system.
3. For lenses wider than the your devices camera's field of view, Artemis adds "padding" on the screen.
4. Artemis has been field tested with every camera in our database to make sure that the field of view is correct.
5. No other multiformat director's viewfinder has as many camera specific formats or lens sets.
6. Artemis is a digital director's viewfinder designed for cinematographers, directors, and anyone interested in filmmaking, photography, cameras, and film.
7. Please note that field of view is measured from the "nodal point", roughly mid way down the length of the lens, in keeping with the method used by lens manufacturers.
8. A great tool for any level of filmmaker, Artemis is perfect for location scouting, storyboarding, blocking, rehearsal and preproduction.
9. Artemis works in much the same way as a traditional director's viewfinder but more accurately and with many more features.
10. You can then save images, complete with focal length, GPS data, compass heading, tilt and roll, date and time, camera/lens information, and much more.
11. While this is not ideal, it's our best solution for getting around the limitations of the camera in your device.
1. It doesnt appear to work with Android phones (despite being told it does), it doesn't work to shut off phone them restart it, nor to uninstall/reinstall the app, and the apk debug they sent ro patch the problem doesnt load.
2. Very disappointed that the developer seems to have shifted to a new more maintained Artemis Pro app while leaving previous customers in the cold.Used to work great, but now I truly can't trust this app at all.
3. So far a total waste of money.I've been using this app for a few years now and has always been an essential tool for me as a DoP, trying to figure out and line up my shots or to pre-viz any of my shoots.
4. It's been an incredibly useful app, but the Android version is definitely lacking in comparison to the Apple version.
5. Costumer service did not help, the app's calibration tool is useless and reinstalling did not work.DO NOT BUY.
6. Additionally, I've recently upgraded my phone from a Samsung Galaxy S10 to a Google Pixel 6 and realized the camera resolution quality the app uses is utter garbage.
7. Please fix and improve for Android phones!Unfortunately I was under the impression I would get the newest Artemis app when it released on Android (which it is now).
8. I'm a professional Cinematographer, so I will try the beta "pro" app, but it's a shame they left this app to die...Can't record videos on Android as of Feb 2020.
9. Really wanted it to work and would have loved to give a great review.
10. I lost a week's worth of work because I couldnt get it to work, and the client specifically asked for this app.
11. This just appears to sit in the app store to confuse people looking for the newer (equally expensive) version of the app.
