About G-SHOCK Connected

2. Pairing your watch with a smartphone enables use of a variety of different Mobile Link functions that greatly enhance the smartphone experience.

3. By updating to version 3. 0, users of this app will be able to transfer their user data to CASIO WATCHES via this app.

4. The G-SHOCK Connected app also simplifies certain watch operations by letting you perform them on your phone screen.

5. Even if an operating system has been confirmed as compatible, software updates or display specifications may prevent proper display and/or operation.

6. If the app does not operate properly with the smartphone in power saving mode, please turn off power saving mode before use.

7. This is the basic application for connecting and communicating with a Bluetooth(R) v4. 0 enabled CASIO watch.

1. but that background location and Data usage is pretty unwelcoming.Update. I'm noticing that my runs do seem to sync with the watch when I view details i see colors that seem to be intensity.

2. Not sure what the deal is but i hope it can be fixed!while I understand how these things work in the greater scheme , I see no reason that I should be required to allow the app constant location data simply to access the watch.

3. It was amazing to re-watch the journey on the 3D map there and back but now since watch can't even sync for time update, I fear all my flight data is gone.

4. You have to sync all the information from the watch to your phone by pushing a button on the watch to connect the Bluetooth.

5. Casio will eventually figure it out, but in the meantime this is incredibly disappointing.I've loved this app for years, but ever since the last update the phone finder feature doesn't work anymore.

6. I would suggest that G-shock probably create feature that allows the user to pause/ stop the the watch from logging down steps when driving.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix G-SHOCK Connected Issues

1. Fix G-SHOCK Connected Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart G-SHOCK Connected: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the G-SHOCK Connected App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "G-SHOCK Connected" » Open G-SHOCK Connected » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for G-SHOCK Connected » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear G-SHOCK Connected app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from G-SHOCK Connected servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "G-SHOCK Connected" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check G-SHOCK Connected app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, G-SHOCK Connected might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall G-SHOCK Connected. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall G-SHOCK Connected then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing G-SHOCK Connected not working


2. Fix G-SHOCK Connected Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make G-SHOCK Connected be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to G-SHOCK Connected not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, G-SHOCK Connected may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
