Why should I report an Issue with Beacon Scanner?

1. App just scans & scans.... It's 18" away from the Ruuvi Tag so maybe it's me, but I'm very underwhelmed.Looks a little confusing when updating beacon data, but seems to work well.I like that it's open source, but sadly it doesn't find any beacons, even if they are visible in other apps.It was a cool app.

2. All the problems I had with it before appear to be fixed! The only scanner I've tried that doesn't have that annoying problem of scanning for 5 seconds then timing out for 30 seconds.amature coder with minimal knowledge best part of the app is http endpoint logging.

3. No data.Tablet bluetooth settings sees the Ruuvi sensor but Beacon Scanner app does not.

4. Bluetooth is on and I granted it location permissions.Scan beacon properly, gives better measure of distance.

5. i am able to write logs to google sheets via script api to monitor my beacons in proximity.

6. will be a better app if it can log device location and run in the background.This finds nothing, it just sits at "scanning" and never returns any results.

1. Fix Beacon Scanner Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Beacon Scanner: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Beacon Scanner App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Beacon Scanner" » Open Beacon Scanner » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Beacon Scanner » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Beacon Scanner app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Beacon Scanner servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Beacon Scanner" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Beacon Scanner app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Beacon Scanner might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Beacon Scanner. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Beacon Scanner then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Beacon Scanner not working

2. Fix Beacon Scanner Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Beacon Scanner be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Beacon Scanner not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Beacon Scanner may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
