1. BUT, HERE IS A PROBLEM that I (& others also, as I've seen review) am facing — ONCE THE CONNECTION (either wifi or bluetooth or both) BETWEEN TWO WORKING AND PAIRED PHONE IS LOST (here, it is Always When X is talking/hearing and suddenly when there is Incoming/Outgoing call occour on Y's phone), IT DOESN'T RE-CONNECT AUTOMATICALLY or even when X tries manually.

2. It allows private connection on a local wifi or Bluetooth network.

3. It only works over the local network, so it doesn't need a login or an internet connection.

4. Great app otherwise.This update are good! I love intercom running at background automatically after boot! But there's major drawback : it disables my volume settings when running intercom as background.

5. It seems to play well with other apps that use the audio (I can hear a call while Intercom is working).

6. There was still about a quarter second delay and a little echo.Got the app working over WiFi however I can't seem to set up using Bluetooth only.

7. All the others to date don't work or configurate both phones is too complicated or doesn't work.

8. We'll use it for comms around an Amateur Dramatic event, using a separate wifi network.

9. Fix this/solution for this, I will rate 5 stars!!Great app! User-friendly connectivity & interface as compared to others.

10. I haven't given it a good real world test yet, but it's already way ahead of all the other apps I have tried.

11. Just one little detail to fix: when both phones loose connection, you have to have both phones close again to retry connection, this should be automatic ideally.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Intercom Issues

1. Fix Intercom Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Intercom: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Intercom App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Intercom" » Open Intercom for Android » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Intercom » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Intercom for Android app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Intercom servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Intercom for Android" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Intercom app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Intercom might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Intercom. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Intercom then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Intercom not working


2. Fix Intercom Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Intercom be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Intercom not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Intercom may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
