TimeWorksPlus Customer Insights

1. It can take me up to 10 mins to clock in or out, it can get either my location wrong or not at all sometimes, can submit pto for when I get sick and have to call in(can only submit day b4 not day of), and it doesn't explain how I have v time maxed out and pto is almost out and yet both u can earn somehow.I have used this time clock app for several years now and haven't had any problems,as long as you have data,or wifi you shouldn't have any issues.This app is garbage.

2. I forgot my password, and when this happens with most apps there is a place to get the password reset or have the password sent to my email associated with my account.I hate having to approve employees times through this app, it always freezes and I have to close and reopen it multiple times just to finish approvals.

3. I went to bed with 48% battery (that used to last me a whole day before this app) but I woke up with my phone completely dead! and its not the first time draining my battery! this app sucks!If I didn't need it I wouldn't use it.

4. Also uses GPS on phone to verify that you are at location when signing in or out from location.It's okay could use more features, like letting me know if my request for time off was approved.

5. Sick hrs available, and saves location worked when clocking in, so employer can adjust hourly rate for that site.

6. When you're trying to log in or out it will just hang out the loading screen, I have tried to reset my phone and the problem still happens.Needs major upgrade.

7. How can such a basic app struggling to run correctly on a newer device? I'm glad my company is looking for a better solution.Kills my battery! It is really hard to log in! I was 4 hours late for work today because this app kills my battery.

8. Failed to log a punch, claiming GPS location was not activated, yet it is clearly enabled in my Pixel 4 settings.

9. Hard fail on updates here.Been using this app to clock in out with employer for about a year now.

10. When manual entry is made outside of app, it always opts to opposite clock in/out option.

11. If you make a mistake or forgot to clock in or out, supervisor can sign in to app and fix problem.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TimeWorksPlus Issues

1. Fix TimeWorksPlus Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart TimeWorksPlus: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TimeWorksPlus App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TimeWorksPlus" » Open TimeWorksPlus » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TimeWorksPlus » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TimeWorksPlus app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TimeWorksPlus servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TimeWorksPlus" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TimeWorksPlus app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TimeWorksPlus might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TimeWorksPlus. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TimeWorksPlus then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TimeWorksPlus not working


2. Fix TimeWorksPlus Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TimeWorksPlus be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TimeWorksPlus not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TimeWorksPlus may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hello. We have just installed the Vision+ timeclock. I was wondering, is there a way to default the department selection? Can we set the clock to just scan the face then choose clock in or out without the department selection? Thank you
