1. Not that feature rich yet, but it's a powerful debugging tool especially when developing an app. - Setup security config described as 'The default configuration for apps targeting Android 6. - SSL decryption using man-in-the-middle technique.
2. Packet capture/Network traffic sniffer app with SSL decryption.
3. You don't need to setup a dedicated proxy server on your PC.
4. All you need is just your Android device.
5. If you want to get rid of entering PIN number on a lock screen after Packet Capture is uninstalled, it is needed to clear credential storage.
1. Great tool for getting the download link for HTC OTA updates without needing a PC (Just capture the traffic from the system app named Updater)Well when it worked, and when it was Ip4 traffic, it was a great tool to test different scenarios and see what the result was.
2. SSL/TLS capture doesn't work saying could not create file (OnePlus 5T Android 9), so can't decrypt secure traffic, which is most apps nowadays.
3. Hope these will get fixed in the future.Nice application! Not sure if it is getting updated anymore! But the even more better if we have a way to delete individual captures! Currently, we have to clear apps entire data/cache to clear all the captures, there is no way to delete individual captures.
4. I use my phone as a portable hotspot and I wanted to capture all the packets passing through it, including those from and to the devices connected to my phone as an access point and using it to access the internet.
5. The right thing to do is to regenerate the certificate whenever it expires using the same key even necessary. It's a nice app and was working fine from the start on my phone after I've installed the certificates.
6. If you start capturing, all that happens is all SSL traffic through the tunnel stops working when the clients rejects the expired proxy certificate.
7. Maybe capturing all the packets from the OS can't be done without rooting the phone, but if that is the case then just say so, don't waste my time by promising to do somthing you can't do.Great app and works well.
8. Apparently this app only captures packets sent and received by the apps on the phone.
9. The app interface seems slick, but I'd like the option to just pass SSL traffic through (while of course logging the metadata), instead of always trying to intercept it.
10. However, I'd rather not potentially compromise security by installing the cert, especially since I don't care about the content of secure connections, just the app, amount, URL, etc.Does what it says on the tin, but fairly limited.
11. Etc... Well it once was a must have app for me, even though the cert seems to have been individualized.App has become completely useless because the mtm SSL certificate has expired.
