This has happened to me before with canon where they just plain stop supporting products and prvent people from using their hardware, Well done Canon 0/10 for customer support if this is the caseIn recent chromeOS environment, this app can no longer send scanned files/photos to other apps like gmail,.. Only save to local drive is availableThis app uses to be so good until I got a Galaxy S21.

2. In short, sofware support is tragic, I am never gonna buy any cannon device againNo longer detecting the P208II on WU10 Wi-Fi adaptor, I notice that the P208 is not listed anymore, have you stopped supporting this device ? If so Why ??? people still have them and it's a good document scanner.

3. Shame.What is the actual point in this app if it only works with very select few Canon scanners?I tried to use it with my Samsung Tab S4 and two Wireless Canon Printer/Scanners and it couldn't find any of them on the network.Useless.....just got "scanner not found" message & unable to use it.

4. This device de facto has sooo many software issues even on my mac (took them super long time to give the 64 bit driver, which makes this machine useless until 64bit driver came out).

5. Other reviewers are probably using the wrong app.never find the device; I have a cannon P208II which is on the supported list, yet unfortunately my tablet never picks it up.

6. LOOK for other CANON printer/scanner apps.

8. Now it fails to upload to either Google Drive or OneDrive, so is now completely useless to me.

1. Fix Canon CaptureOnTouch Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Canon CaptureOnTouch: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Canon CaptureOnTouch App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Canon CaptureOnTouch" » Open Canon CaptureOnTouch Mobile » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Canon CaptureOnTouch » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Canon CaptureOnTouch Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Canon CaptureOnTouch servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Canon CaptureOnTouch Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Canon CaptureOnTouch app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Canon CaptureOnTouch might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Canon CaptureOnTouch. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Canon CaptureOnTouch then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Canon CaptureOnTouch not working

2. Fix Canon CaptureOnTouch Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Canon CaptureOnTouch be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Canon CaptureOnTouch not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Canon CaptureOnTouch may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
