Why should I report an Issue with Good Food: Recipe Finder?

So still a bit of work there.All the recipes I wanted to look at were freely available to view on the website for years, but now the website doesn't display correctly on mobile devices (the text becomes tiny and completely illegible) - downloaded the app expecting to just be able to read them, was immediately met with a subscription box and notification permissions.

2. I have now realised to view any recipe you have to subscribe, such a shame, with the cost of living crisis, forcing people into yet another subscription 😡 In response to the reply, defeats the object having to login on the website after years of the ease of use of the app.

My top recommendation (other than bug fixes) would be to introduce a pinterest-style recommendation feature, where I can start adding recipes to a collection and then BBC GF recommends similarPersonally I don't mind paying 25 quid a year for this as I don't subscribe to the magazine but if this price goes up I'll be having a rethink.

4. Reinstate the ability to view saved recipes via the app would be betterBBC good food has the potential to be a great app, but is so user un-friendly that I struggle to justify my subscription.

5. Can't read *any* recipes for free any more.Disappointed!! In the modern age where most things can be googled, to try and charge people a monthly subscription fee for an app is simply ridiculous.

6. Then the subscription came, initially it was subscribe if you want, if not you could access saved recipes only.

8. I frequently have to close the app when it freezes, the search function is awful, and it feels like there are tonnes of good recipes but with insufficient navigation to show me them.

9. So I need to go to web on my phone, and open page in pc mode, to be able to print recipes.

10. Like others have said, it used to be great, but the new version is awful and now doesn't even work for me, despite paying for a subscription.

1. Fix Good Food Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Good Food: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Good Food App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Good Food" » Open Good Food: Recipe Finder » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Good Food » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Good Food: Recipe Finder app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Good Food servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Good Food: Recipe Finder" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Good Food app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Good Food might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Good Food. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Good Food then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Good Food not working

2. Fix Good Food Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Good Food be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Good Food not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Good Food may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
