MrReceipt Customer Insights

1. I would like to have a feature where I can add my own categories...such as Utilities, Pets, and a few other ones.They're on the right track but it's unusable for receipts with more than one item because there is a limit of tags you can use AND you can't label it in more than one category AND you can only give the total for the receipt not for each item AND the warranty/return is fixed for the receipt entry as a whole and not per item like it needs to be.

However, the core experience is good enough that I will be sticking around for a while and observing the developments:)Great potential, but a few needed features are missing: ability to print a pdf report (with the pictures), back up data, and way to organize into folders so you are not viewing all receipts all the time.

3. I enter receipts by month, and while the statistics page will let me view by date , the default "all receipts" view shows every receipt in the entire database.

4. My only complaint is the text scanner doesnt seem to ever want to finish so i press the skip button and when the receipt details show up the details are filled in.

5. It's convenient and simple to use format, however I don't like the fact that when you take the picture of the receipt, you have to do it in one single shot and honestly the receipts nowadays are quite long.

6. It was super easy to start taking pics of receipts.

7. Scanning new receipts is super easy.

8. I have uploaded my first few receipts for 2019 and so far, so good.

9. Be better if can add categories & have more 1 for multi item receipts.

10. I tried this prior to my review.After 6 months use, I still love this app & use it for all general purchases to keep track of warranties.

11. I plan to use if for home budgeting rather than submitting receipts for business travel.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix MrReceipt Issues

1. Fix MrReceipt Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart MrReceipt: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the MrReceipt App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "MrReceipt" » Open MrReceipt - bills in one place » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for MrReceipt » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear MrReceipt - bills in one place app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from MrReceipt servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "MrReceipt - bills in one place" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check MrReceipt app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, MrReceipt might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall MrReceipt. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall MrReceipt then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing MrReceipt not working


2. Fix MrReceipt Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make MrReceipt be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to MrReceipt not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, MrReceipt may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
