1. This app is a viewer for passes - a pass could be a e. g. boarding-pass for your next flight, a coupon for a nice hot beverage on the destination, a movie ticket, a membership card - there are a lot of possibilities.
2. The most important content is the BarCode ( QR , AZTEC & PDF417which authorizes you most of the time - but it also has other interesting content like a description - often a time ( that you now can add to your calendar ) - often also locations ( to give you directions ) - just try It out!
3. I stumbled upon Passbook files when i received my ticket for the 29c3 - I liked the Idea - but there was no Android App which was working for me.
4. Also this app is Free-Software - Free not only as in "Free Beer" - but more as in Richard Stallmans Concept of Free and Open Software for a better World.
5. There are so called espass or pkpass files - you can open them with this app - e. g. when you receive them via email or get an Download-option.
6. Basically it is a replacement for a piece of paper or plastic you would normally have to carry with you - so lets save some trees and reduce waste!
7. The app is offline usable once you downloaded the pass!
8. I saw that the implementation is quite easy ( just a zip container with json and images ) - The first version was build very quick & was working for me ( got entry to 29C3 ) - In the following year I have not worked on this app much as I had no real use-cases but there where a lot of users downloading the app and I fixed processing of some passes that where send to me ( some passes contain really broken json ..
1. Fix these two things and I'd give it 5/5There's some room for improvement, like adding a bar code from an image or cropping it from a part of an added file, showing multiple pages of an added PDF file, retainingpdf file names, and manually brighten when zoomed in, but overall this was very helpful for a long to abroad as it let me organize everything from flight and train tickets, to hotel bookings and even tickets to classical music shows.
2. Opens .pkpass files, which is all I needed! Dark/auto modes don't work properly on Samsung s9, it renders the menu invisible! So you need to keep it in light.Good app for keeping various passes in hand.
3. When you open a pdf file with more than one page (two boarding passes for example) the app only shows the first one and therefore you end up having to use the pdf itself to board your second flight.
4. Minor niggle: when adding PDF files, the screen lumosity stop being maxed up as soon as you zoom on them.Good so far when used it to add a ticket from my downloads.
5. The files are easy to add to the app, also, it turns automatically to night theme and if the app is open you do not have to unlock your phone to see your ticket.
6. It can open pdf/jpg stored files (other apps can't), scan for pkpass files (haven't any at the moment).
7. Brightening the screen so cool .Just a request , please keep the full brightness even when we click on the PDF/image as folks inspecting , zooms the tickets quite often. This is great, thank you.
8. The ability to add a date and time let me view them in the order in which they would be needed.Great app, it has many features that other apps like "wallet" lack.
9. Will definitely be looking forward to seeing of this app can automatically suggest or add my tickets to the app when I purchase a ticket to something on from my phone. The app is so simple yet intuitive , and helps a ton.
10. Would be nice to have a qr/barcode scanner also, and to get the pdf file in better resolution. Can't get date Sort order to work.
11. I used it to store travel documents that came as pkpass files.
