1. For people not interested in playing external Gnaural presets, Gnaural for Android also comes with 14 built-in presets, designed to explore a range of mental states with binaural beats and isochronic tones, as well as providing a range of soothing background sounds (like water or wind) that can be played continuously to help one relax or sleep.
2. Gnaural is a computer-based audio synthesizer capable of generating binaural beats, isochronic tones, pink noise, and many varieties of simulated nature sounds (including rain, waterfall, ocean waves, babbling brook, and wind).
3. Gnaural for Android is able to play Gnaural presets that you copy to your device, but can't edit them beyond the ability to turn on/off individual voices, specify number of "loops" (times to repeat the preset), and manually move forward-and-backward through the schedule.
4. The only issue you might run in to is that if your preset uses external audio files - in which case Gnaural for Android can only play external CD-quality WAV audio files, not the many formats open-able by the full computer-based Gnaural (such as FLAC and OGG).
5. Long available for Mac, Windows, and Linux, Gnaural allows you to use your computer to create, edit, and play your own "presets" - which are editable meditation sessions coded in to XML text files.
6. Unlike most audio players, Gnaural for Android is a true sound synthesizer, creating and mixing CD quality sound on-the-fly from user-programmable instructions without relying on any sound files.
7. However, Gnaural presets, being simple text files written in Gnaural's XML language, can be edited by hand with any text editor and then opened by Gnaural for Android.
8. If you do experience stuttering, such as when processing complex multi-voiced presets, there are options to lower the processing load by either lowering the sample rate (under Preferences), or by turning off extra voices.
9. Gnaural is intended to be an aural aid to meditation and relaxation.
10. This should not be a real limitation, as any audio format can easily be converted to WAV using readily available software like Audacity.
11. Generating live synthesized sound requires a lot of processing power.
1. Thanks for making it available. If you use Gnaural on the pc, this is something different, but still very interesting and easy to use.Best Binaural Beat App I am an enthusiastic about exploring the possibilities of Binaural beats.Great app that can be used to play Gnaural files created on the PC.
2. Note: You cannot edit or create Gnaural XML files directly on the Android version of Gnaural, but files produced on Windows/Mac/Linux Gnaural versions can be imported and used.
3. A suggestion is to have an alarm kinda feature, a preset can be used to wake up more naturallythis is my favorite binaural beats app.
4. The power nap preset is particularly useful, puts to sleep & wakes up rejuvenated at anytime.
5. Seriously, don't drive while listening 😑A really good sleep, relaxation aid and also good for masking out sounds.
6. My sleep tracking fitness band actually reports more deep sleep duration when the sleep preset has been used.
7. Useful while traveling, for falling asleep during those insomnia bouts, meditation, focusing and taking naps.
8. i wish i could make custom tones in the app but there is a lot of variety built in.this app is not movable to sd card.
9. for example teamviewer, winrar, sincan bel, etc are movable to sd card.I'm SO surprised that there are no reviews for this app.
10. The best binaural beats player for Android.
11. We order developers to develope apps movable to sd card.
