1. It seems silly that you need to install a complicated phone app to take a bike on a train, and you can't simply add a bicycle tariff from a normal kiosk at the train station.

2. Then the consequences could be described as chaotic! The Schedules are wrong, it gives you the longest, not the shortest route and is constantly misleading you!!! Fix that f s a app..Nice app but constantly has problems issuing the tickets.

3. There you can change the language setting of the app from Dutch to English." I did this and it works! You just need to press one of the menu items at the bottom to refresh the screen.

4. And since people with a visual handicap cant drive, and are dependent on public transport the stitch railway is really doing a poor job.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix NS Issues

1. Fix NS Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart NS: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the NS App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "NS" » Open NS » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for NS » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear NS app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from NS servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "NS" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check NS app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, NS might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall NS. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall NS then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing NS not working


2. Fix NS Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make NS be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to NS not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, NS may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
