Why should I report an Issue with Kaptioned: Automatic Subtitles?

1. I love the fact that you can move the text to a different part of the video but the app crashing when trying to produce the video and download it to my phone is a big noOkay I've been using this for a couple days and the interface is fantastic easy to use.

9. MY ONLY DISLIKE IS HOW you have to edit the video by clicking on the words, and it's scolling at the same time.

10. I'm using in free mode which means I get three videos a day just pretty reasonable.so far so good.

11. Ultimately, it produced an accurate transcript and provided an SRT text file that can be exported.Though it sometimes recognizes words better than other apps, the usability is worse.

1. Fix Kaptioned Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Kaptioned: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Kaptioned App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Kaptioned" » Open Kaptioned: Automatic Subtitles » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Kaptioned » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Kaptioned: Automatic Subtitles app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Kaptioned servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Kaptioned: Automatic Subtitles" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Kaptioned app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Kaptioned might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Kaptioned. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Kaptioned then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Kaptioned not working

2. Fix Kaptioned Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Kaptioned be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Kaptioned not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Kaptioned may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
