1. I've been trying to get an answer the last 4 weeks on whether they're working on a fix and they keep telling me they'll call me back with an answer, which they never do.Use on smart phone and take photos holding camera in a tree, or mount on tripod and wifi what camera sees.

2. Running Oreo on Lenovo tablet and Kitcat on old HTC One phone.awful. cannot connect to device.Fails to connect over WiFi and can't complete the setup process.

3. If you are already running camera on other device, look for the WiFi access password it's using.

4. It's fine if you don't mind taking 5 minutes set up everyone you want to stop and take a shot.I have not been able keep a stable connection between the Air A01 and my Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, or S5 phones.

5. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.If you have Android 7.1 or greater return your Olympus Air! The app works on my Android 6.0/7.0 devices but not 7.1.1 so you will have wasted $400 on the Air if you have a modern phone.

6. The ability to take high quality photos and be able to upload them immediately is incredible.Tried using the app to connect but no matter what I do no luck.

7. But once you try to open the app and take photos it keeps saying connection with camera failed.

8. I bought the Olympus Air, installed the App went through the ridiculous setup finished everything even wifi.

9. Tried manually to pair as the phone sees it but won't connect.

10. Main diff from original use - camera power now has to be turned on manually.

11. So far the camera is useless.The camera performs great.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix OA.Central Issues

1. Fix OA.Central Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart OA.Central: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the OA.Central App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "OA.Central" » Open OA.Central for Olympus Air » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for OA.Central » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear OA.Central for Olympus Air app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from OA.Central servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "OA.Central for Olympus Air" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check OA.Central app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, OA.Central might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall OA.Central. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall OA.Central then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing OA.Central not working


2. Fix OA.Central Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make OA.Central be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to OA.Central not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, OA.Central may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
