FlixBus Customer Insights

1. The only offer I could access inside the app was to provide a "voucher" (which wouldn't get me to where I needed to go!), and it had a mandatory $20 "cancelation fee" for the trip, even though THEY WERE THE ONES WHO CANCELLED MY BUS an hour before it was suppose to leave AND LEFT ME STRANDED ON A SIDEWALK IN SEATTLE.It would be great if when booking a trip I could actually see the entire months calendar.

2. Once I set up an account, it would not let me see other locations easily.It's great and cheap... unless you're having payment issues.

3. the drivers always do their very best to make sure I get where i need to go, as long as they have the ability to help me.I've been using this app for a few years now with no issues.

4. The service is great I just wish communication and app notifications were better for routes to ease with the stress of travel.

5. Company has multiple service departure/arrival locations, but app will not tell you where they are by address without going thru ticket purchase process.

6. I have had great experiences with flixbus years ago so I'm unsure what has happened recently.The bus either arrives hours late or leaves early.

7. It does not make a very good decoration for the app, just in case there was any confusion or questions the developers were not quite sure about.The app doesn't show you where the bus is which can be frustrating when it's running late.

8. I sincerely hope that there are some major changes but, until then I wouldn't advise any friends or family to use this service.App is clumsy and incomplete.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix FlixBus Issues

1. Fix FlixBus Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart FlixBus: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the FlixBus App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "FlixBus" » Open FlixBus: Book Bus Tickets » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for FlixBus » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear FlixBus: Book Bus Tickets app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from FlixBus servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "FlixBus: Book Bus Tickets" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check FlixBus app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, FlixBus might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall FlixBus. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall FlixBus then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing FlixBus not working


2. Fix FlixBus Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make FlixBus be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to FlixBus not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, FlixBus may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
