GiftLog Customer Insights

1. December 13 shows up as 13/12 - I've wasted my time on this one!App is a little rough around the edges UI wise but it serves a unique purpose in a mostly intuitive way.

2. In fact, I decided to use a different one based on that alone it was so bad.While it looks great you find out quickly that you can't add any dates beyond 49 so 1970 is the limit for birthday.

3. I could deal with that but the birthdays show up backwards - NOVEMBER 3 shows up as 3/11 - not very helpful as March and November is far apart.

4. Other than that I am quite happy!Adding contacts from phone did not work.

5. I think it might be improved if an occasion automatically allowed you to add additional gifts.

6. Adding pics of gifts did not work.

7. Very sad Panda.Entering date too annoying, can only select year, then you have to scroll for the date.

8. It's nice to review the data at the end of a year.Argh! This is exactly what I was looking for! BUT nothing is working.

9. Stupid!I love that I can log gifts, given and received.

10. Also not compatible with pixel 6, the bottom icons are covered by the pixel 6 buttons.Not any use.

11. Light green and blue on white does not have the best visual.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix GiftLog Issues

1. Fix GiftLog Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GiftLog: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GiftLog App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GiftLog" » Open GiftLog - Gift List Manager » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GiftLog » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GiftLog - Gift List Manager app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GiftLog servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GiftLog - Gift List Manager" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GiftLog app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GiftLog might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GiftLog. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GiftLog then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GiftLog not working


2. Fix GiftLog Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GiftLog be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GiftLog not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GiftLog may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
