SNCF Connect Customer Insights

1. I have only use the app once and I have found a major discrepancy that I can't even imagine how it is possible that their two systems were given different data ! I hope the train management is safer ! That's very worrying !Not only is the UX abysmally bad and has even managed to get worse since this new app was introduced, requiring me to go through countless screens and enter the same information several times (no I do not want to make an account and offer personal information on a platter), but I can't even buy a ticket for a bus! If there's a train later, I can always purchase a ticket for it and use that on the bus, but some days there are only busses and the app becomes useless: back to good old printed onesI'm happy to see that the app has really improved since last time a used some years ago! 👍 It was very useful to find door to door itinerary.

2. My husband's international flight had a major delay, so we needed to exchange his train ticket, which was in face exchangeable... but the app wouldn't let him book the next train in an exchange.

3. Visual clutter everywhere, it's extremely easy to click a wrong thing and then have to redo the searchQuite good but information regarding my train platform was incorrect.

4. Does seem a bit bloated (100mb), and time wasting intro and "let's take a tour of the app" animations -- more traditional and simple would be better for a train app -- but overall it fulfilled its function without undue hassle.Really bad UX.

5. I also wish it let you fill this information from the history of previous passengersMost of my train tickets are not showing.

6. Trying to sort it out is an endless circle of redirection between chatbots, FAQs and error messages.Total rubbish!!!! Bought a carte adulte et carte jeune and can only see carte adulte.

7. If he looked at them as an outright purchase, he could book- but if he tried to exchange his current ticket, which was same value, no-go.

8. Station timetable is available only for a couple of hours into the future; that's almost useless, I want to know trains tomorrow and other days.

9. My only complain is the fact that we need to fill up too much info for a simple TER ticket.

10. So, we had to pay for a second ticket.. Not cool.1- Major bug on SNCF Connect Android App.

11. However, the trouble came with this app's Paris metro ticket functionality.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SNCF Connect Issues

1. Fix SNCF Connect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SNCF Connect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SNCF Connect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SNCF Connect" » Open SNCF Connect: Trains & routes » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SNCF Connect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SNCF Connect: Trains & routes app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SNCF Connect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SNCF Connect: Trains & routes" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SNCF Connect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SNCF Connect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SNCF Connect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SNCF Connect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SNCF Connect not working


2. Fix SNCF Connect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SNCF Connect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SNCF Connect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SNCF Connect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I have a SNCF ID. I can login to my account on Mac. I cannot login in to the SNCF Connect webpage on my iPhone (I've tried Safari and Firefox), I cannot log in the the SNCF Connect app.
