1. UPDATE 28/01/22 the app has been good mostly but my last one would disconnect alot as it depends on a good wifi signal i used my data in the end.Having a Purple Visit is great! There's no travelling to the venue, it feels so much more private (even knowing that some of these visits are monitored /recorded),there's no hustle and bustle signing in at reception, being searched or losing visit time queuing at the snack bar! There are no distractions either like other people's kids running around! It's just you and your visit... perfect! 👌.
2. But nevertheless it's free and nothing beats talking to a loved one you miss.Nice to be able to see a loved one... The overall vid and sound needs to improved.. It seems too grainy and patchy for today's technology...any slight movement can trigger the software to cut out.. But you will just have to reverify each time and reconnect.. In the 30mins I needed to this about 4 times But absolutely worth doing and hopefully it leaves the loved ones with a smile..The call remained connected throughout, even though my 3 year old was very active and running in and out of the camera with different toys.
3. 😂 Was lovely being able to see my loved one from the comfort of my own home, without any connection issues at that! I'd definitely recommend this App to anyone that needs it.💜Overall the service is good although some tines it can be a little too sensitive if you move or anything, i just wish we could make more than one video call a month because they are only 30 minutes long although its better than nothing i suppose.
4. I contacted the live support within the app who said can only assist with logging in and installing the app.I emailed help at purple visits a month ago- no reply.Great app! Works wonders if you follow the guidelines.
5. Ended call after 10 mins of trying,last month wasted 30 mins trying.
6. Not fit for purpose , if you want to feel frustrated and upset with an app that constantly freezes and your unable to hear, constantly logging on and off and verifying yourself and still not getting connected.
7. As others with children have mentioned, it's tricky to keep them still therefore you do get cut off from time to time - could be a bit more family friendly.
8. Excellent! Makes visiting long distance possible! I've used the app 2 times, missed one out of 3, because of time zone issues.
9. The only issue I have had is that on last call faces went blurry.
10. Be great if they deployed this service throughout as part of a permenant way of communicating.
