It is a matter of poor design, sub optimal use of technology and complete apathy to towards the customerUsed to work perfect, till about September, since then it's just useless, can't load all the coaches, if I eventually manage to find a ticket and try to purchase, it ask me to add all of my personal and bank details, every time, and quite often their server run out of time as the app connection 8s so slow, so i have to reinsert my details few times, that takes me half an hour or even more, unacceptable.

2. The user experience just doesn't work.On opening the app, there is search tool for your departure and arrival etc but completing this information takes you to ANOTHER search page where you have re-enter your information.

3. I am completely at a loss why Nat Express maintain an app that doesn't function at all on Android - this experience is shared by multiple people I travel with on a weekly basis.

4. So accept coach travel for what it is; a comfortable and relaxed way to travel.The app used to work fine for me and I really liked it, it made travel easier, but now out of nowhere I cannot open the app.

5. Getting tickets sent to your email just works, this doesn'tDespite all the bad reviews, I find it works OK once you get used to it.

6. You cannot log in with Google because the browser is not trusted and a pop up blocks the screen making it very annoying booking tickets on this app.

7. But coach travel is generally slow and tedious but when you have a car that needs fixing and there's no other cost effective option, and if you're not in a rush for a business meeting it can very very enjoyable.

8. Then it fills your name in for you but you have to enter address details yourself everytime, as well as payment details (maybe not so bad from a security point of view, but most apps do it for you).

9. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, restarted my device, cleared cache, but it still does this.There was no notification on the app/email about a last minute bus route change made by the company.

10. It struggles to complete a search, it loses your results and resets to the beginning and challenges the user to select options before the app crashes again.

11. A good Booking Summary is shown if you tap on 'Booking Summary' just above the 'Pay with card' button! You only log in after you've chosen your bus times.

  4. Check National Express Coach app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, National Express Coach might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall National Express Coach. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall National Express Coach then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing National Express Coach not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make National Express Coach be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to National Express Coach not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, National Express Coach may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I would like to reserve seats with National express. I have tried to find a booking office tried on the phone and tried on line all to no avail, so could someone please help with this issue as I quite willing to pay. My ticket number is EUJNJ426 . I would be grateful for any help you could provide and grateful for a reply on this matter. Thank you
