NS International Customer Insights

1. Doesn't work 70% of the times, takes ages to load train options.Tells you the train is late and trip is no longer possible, but you can't figure out what to do next, does not offer alternate routes, another train to catch, nothing! Only a decent app when everything goes rightIt's a fine app, sure, does the expected minimum.

2. No alternatives or what train to take later, nothing.Inaccurate and misleading information! Wrong departure platforms, arrival and departure times are not up to date... If you're planning on a "Good planning" you will be disappointed 😏NS forces you to download the app to open the door at the train station, but the app won't open when I click the ticket link.

3. Would be super nice if the correct and up to date travel information is integrated in the app, perhaps also suggesting alternative routes in case connection cancels.Useless. Can't select a station.

4. Also, by magic, I always leave and arrive exactly at the same time, as if teleporting was a thing.I guess it is nice to have a place to store your tickets, which is working fine in this app.

5. Every time I want to check what time is the train I booked, I need to make a new search because it always assumes I'm already travelling for some reason.

6. Minus 3 because it doesn't suggest to get out 2 stops earlier to catch the same train at a different station.

7. It even goes as far as telling me that It's not possible anymore to catch the next train.

8. Thought it was doing it, forcing me to sign in, but even after registering and sign in, it didn't stop buzzing away the whole time.

9. Why can't I download the ticket as PDF? This is so unnecessary.Horrible haptic when using app.

10. However, the travel information is often not correct, which defeats the purpose a bit.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix NS International Issues

1. Fix NS International Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  3. Clear NS International app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from NS International servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "NS International" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check NS International app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, NS International might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall NS International. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall NS International then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing NS International not working


2. Fix NS International Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make NS International be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to NS International not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, NS International may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
