Calgary Transit Customer Insights

1. If I'm at the right stop and just checking times then the app is 90-95% accurate.Perfect app, the only problem is, there is a bug an changes the bus times, to longer wait periods an has messed me up with my schedule, to get to work, and it says the bus isnt running but when i close the app and reopen it, it resumes its services, so please fix that as soon as possible as I rely on you guys to get to work on time, but cant because of bad bus times,or it saying the service has ended when it hasnt! , but before all this it is a very accurate appWhen working well it is the best, however more recently there have been many issues with the live accurate readings.

2. The information has to be so specific to include a route, stop, time of day, what colour underwear the driver has on, etc.The routes have changed today.

3. This has been ongoing since I first started using the app, so I'm not sure if the app is doing something wrong, or if Transit's API is sending incorrect information.

4. I wondered if I needed an update on the app? But it appears to be current.Very, very similar to the 'Transit' app but differentiates itself immediately by forcing you to type in where you want to go......rather than simply displaying which routes are close to you, which Transit does.

5. But wait, it gets worse... Calgary Transit employs the most functionally useless feedback forum the City's 311 online contact.

6. I've also had lingering problems with at least one stop that the app says my bus stops at but the bus does not stop there, and the app estimating a 2 or 3 minute walk while showing me a path of nearly a kilometer.

7. I would like to see the simple functionality back of viewing a complete days schedule for a stop picked on the map.

8. It is pretty good at predicting buses that are delayed or early and even has great notifications you can set up to keep you alert to when you should head to your stop.

9. Next bus times are fairly accurate, and the GPS tracking to see the current location of upcoming buses (sometimes in real time) is very handy.

10. Yet when you call the phone number with the bus stop, this information is perfect.

11. Sundays are even worse! I'm not sure if I have the new version or not, but I've never been able to notice any real-time information in the map.

  3. Clear Calgary Transit app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Calgary Transit servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Calgary Transit" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Calgary Transit app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Calgary Transit might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Calgary Transit. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Calgary Transit then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Calgary Transit not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Calgary Transit be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Calgary Transit not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Calgary Transit may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
