About SolarEdge Monitoring

SolarEdge Monitoring Customer Insights

1. Also, the time lag between data refresh is about 4 hours - this is a smaller issue than having access to consumption, heat (and other factors).It's nice to see my power generation, but I really wanted to see it in real time.

2. Also the image on the download page shows production vs using and the app doesn't show that.Excellent app! Love seeing energy from each panel.

3. It's too new (7 months) for us to see hardware problems... I'll chime in on that when/if it happensWould make it more useful if it could show the power I'm using along with whats generated.

4. Now i can monitor specific performance parameters of the inverter and look at how each panel is producing their portion of total energy.

5. I won't repeat (except to nod to) the problems about update frequency and notifications... these haven't been an issue for us yet... but they are still features that should be incorporated in the app.

6. Kind of the whole point switching to my own solar was to monitor my power consumption of my own power source.

8. The screenshots of the app have this chart, but not the app itself? Wrong advertising? The power generated depends on the heat; it would be great to have an overlay of the temperature.

9. It appears as though we've randomly picked up nearly 30kwh somewhere... But if you total the days up that we've had the system, it doesn't come out correctly.

10. I was told I would be able to fully monitor and control my system.

11. Ok, After a month of good operation, it is not reading any energy prdctn.It's a little slow to load information, but okay.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SolarEdge Monitoring Issues

1. Fix SolarEdge Monitoring Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SolarEdge Monitoring: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SolarEdge Monitoring App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SolarEdge Monitoring" » Open SolarEdge Monitoring » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SolarEdge Monitoring » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SolarEdge Monitoring app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SolarEdge Monitoring servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SolarEdge Monitoring" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SolarEdge Monitoring app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SolarEdge Monitoring might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SolarEdge Monitoring. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SolarEdge Monitoring then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SolarEdge Monitoring not working


2. Fix SolarEdge Monitoring Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SolarEdge Monitoring be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SolarEdge Monitoring not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SolarEdge Monitoring may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I mistakenly created a Solaredge monitoring sub-account today, and don't need it. The account ID is 317130, and the associated e-mail is fne@redacted
    It does not contain any tracking sites. I can't find a way to remove it. Can you do that for me please?
    I will continue to use the original account (Company Jware, Account ID 247478, Associated e-mail joon@redacted) for which two sites have been set so far.
