Samsara Driver Customer Insights

1. Messages are still receivable, but you can no longer send texts.The worst elog I ever used!!! It has so many glitches! It is so slow! So annoying, that 500 characters here will not discribe even a quarter of it! The worst thing is that you always have to check status you select.

2. But later I saw that it didn't change to pc and I am splitting my off time! It is real peace of...It's handy, but it sometimes changes status on me when I'm sitting still.

3. After you have shut down after seeing on screen you have completed a successful split and ready for a full 10hr, you will wake up only to find out that it NOW says you are in violation the previous day.. WTH!!This app is terrible because if how slow it is.

4. I was hoping to get to Atlanta by one.Don't care for the way when you edit a status you can slide the time bar to where it doesn't add another status to it.

5. I don't like police trying to determine if I'm in violation or not.Seems okay other than adding more steps to each job in a day, but the app itself has at least one reoccurring, frequent, hair pulling out issue, and that's the texting feature crash.

6. It is super annoying to edit multiple logs it makes with same status.

7. Which honestly may have been corrected and I have not had the opportunity to see, but When I log an exception like 16 hour day and work past midnight it will log a violation on one of the two days not clearing them.

8. Occurs while using the in app texting, when you press send to deliver your text and the send button just spins and your message stays in the type box.

9. Simpefi it.I like the app but the one problem I have is when I go to go off duty, it stays in Drive time.

10. Interface is easy to use and simple, app runs really slow on my Samsung Tablet A 8.0 and it didn't used to.

11. I've lost a few breaks to it randomly moving me into driving status while I was parked.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Samsara Driver Issues

1. Fix Samsara Driver Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Samsara Driver: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Samsara Driver App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Samsara Driver" » Open Samsara Driver » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Samsara Driver » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Samsara Driver app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Samsara Driver servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Samsara Driver" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Samsara Driver app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Samsara Driver might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Samsara Driver. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Samsara Driver then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Samsara Driver not working


2. Fix Samsara Driver Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Samsara Driver be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Samsara Driver not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Samsara Driver may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
