1. I really expert on using desktop software for making sub.Very good app, however after finding my saved file and installing an srt player it says it can't be played but the app is very easy to useGreat application, it helped me to correct the synchronization error with my subtitle.This app is very useful to create and edit subtitles.I have been searching for many apps, this is one of the best and user friendly .. most recommended .. u try & u know it then.Very very very worst.

2. Failed app sorryVery easy to edit/add subtitle but the problem is you can't watch your edited video that I uninstalled the app after having problem finding the saved file.I don't understand how to create start and timing, if the developer make me understand it i will change my rating.

3. Mx player plays subtitles without error BUT many lines in subtitle are overlapping.

4. But when uploading srt file, youtube gave me "unble to parse file" error.

5. I was successfully able to add subtitles but then output was messed up.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix SubEdit Issues

1. Fix SubEdit Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart SubEdit: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the SubEdit App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "SubEdit" » Open SubEdit - Edit, create, synchronize subtitles » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for SubEdit » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear SubEdit - Edit, create, synchronize subtitles app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from SubEdit servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "SubEdit - Edit, create, synchronize subtitles" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check SubEdit app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, SubEdit might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall SubEdit. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall SubEdit then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing SubEdit not working


2. Fix SubEdit Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make SubEdit be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to SubEdit not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, SubEdit may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
