Why should I report an Issue with Blueriiot - Blue Connect?

Blueriiot Customer Insights

1. Great product for monitoring the pool, only manages to connect to Sigfox once every couple of days though, so I'll be having to invest in the Blue Extender to make the most out of the subscription (as I work away).

2. It has now been 4 months and after paying a good amount of money for the blue connect it is completely useless.after having a lot of issues with incorrect measures and strange errors when attempting to calibrate the device.

3. Blue connect and WiFi extender work flawlessly out of the box, Alexa integration works well, and the app tells you exactly what to do to fix chemical levels in your pool or spa.

4. But if you've paid for the app, either through Google Play or via the > $500 price of the Blue Connect, c'mon guys, don't be greedy, stop double dipping! At least let me pay a once-off $10 extra to "allow" me to enter my chemical concentrations so I can fully enjoy the app.

5. Would be good if the app had a tablet option, so it could be used with mounted smart home controllers/tablets (without having to turn your head sideways :-))The app does not connect to the device.

6. With so many other options that have suggested default values, but are manually over-writable (such as the ORP thresholds, temperature, pH, etc, and a calculator to visually help you determine your volume of water, they clearly are very capable app developers, so it's clear that it is intentional that they don't let you configure your preferred brand of chemicals.

7. Unfortunately the Sigfox connection is very flakey.I've used the app for a few days with my new Blue Connect Premium.

8. This brings me down half a star to 4.5. But then I'm dropping my rating down to 4 because unless you use one of the two designated brands of chemicals, which are not at my local pool shop, then it won't necessarily give you the accurate amount of product to add.

9. ORP readings are not clear and misleading.Sigfox coverage here is very weak, so I have no real need for storing data in the cloud, and therefore no real need for a subscription.

10. As an update, Astral replaced my Blue Connect with a Blue Connect Plus, so the probe is working now.

11. There is an issue with your app both on Android and appleTotal waste of money This is advertised to work in all pools, but those with a salt chrolinator return sensor errors unless you pay more for a gold sensor.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Blueriiot Issues

1. Fix Blueriiot Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Blueriiot: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Blueriiot App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Blueriiot" » Open Blueriiot - Blue Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Blueriiot » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Blueriiot - Blue Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Blueriiot servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Blueriiot - Blue Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Blueriiot app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Blueriiot might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Blueriiot. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Blueriiot then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Blueriiot not working


2. Fix Blueriiot Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Blueriiot be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Blueriiot not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Blueriiot may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
