1. The app is near useless, when I login with my pixel mags account and find the magazine I bought there is no indication I bought it but it says download then crashes.

2. also of those 10 magazines there's only 4 in the library and look to be very old back issues (2015)bought a subscription for a magazine, registered it with pixel mags no problem.

3. Tried on 2 different devices same result!! going to ask for my money back....Useless. I can't open a single magazine.

4. searching for my favorite north American magazines, I've attempted 10 searches, and the app has crashed 4 times already.

5. Fraud! They continue to bill me account even though I canceled the first day.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Readr Issues

1. Fix Readr Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Readr: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Readr App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Readr" » Open Readr - 10K Magazine Newsstand » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Readr » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Readr - 10K Magazine Newsstand app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Readr servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Readr - 10K Magazine Newsstand" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Readr app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Readr might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Readr. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Readr then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Readr not working


2. Fix Readr Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Readr be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Readr not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Readr may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
