Passport Customer Insights

1. Migrating to Passport was an incredibly bad decision.What a ripoff! They really don't want you using discounts.. Just closes every time you try to select an option! Terrible! Update 6/30/2020 - was hoping this might be fixed in last three months... Still a ripoff closes with every attempt to use the app...Passport is great for saving money, but this app is horribly slow!! It takes a bit to just open the app - you get to watch the Passport logo turn in a circle over and over.

2. Everything seems to be designed to make you watch the logo spin over and over.The "apply location" button is located in the same spot as my phone's all screen button so it's impossible to make a selection.

3. My cc needed to be updated , which I have done multiple times, reloaded the app-- it still shows that my membership is expired on the home screen and the offers are locked out "until billing is corrected/updated".

4. On top of that, the app itself is so slow, laggy, and just painful to use.The Passport offers are a complete waste of time and the App is completely useless.

5. Passport mobile is listing businesses that have not agreed to the discounts listed in this service.

6. The app completely does not work anymore and when you try to log in through the web browser it's not mobile friendly.Says no internet connection when trying to open.

7. If you select anything and tap the back button watch the logo spin.

8. Please bring it backAfter the most recent update, it does not recognize in internet connection through the app.

9. Even though the old version doesn't update the map to your current location, at least it's accurate with the offfers.

10. Search on anything and watch the logo spin.

11. Unless you know what your looking for you won't even know the place is included in the passport discount.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Passport Issues

1. Fix Passport Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Passport: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Passport App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Passport" » Open Passport Mobile » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Passport » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Passport Mobile app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Passport servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Passport Mobile" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Passport app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Passport might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Passport. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Passport then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Passport not working


2. Fix Passport Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Passport be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Passport not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Passport may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
